Senior Outreach Activities
Established in 1997, the Eastside Elderly Outreach Program promotes the social well-being and health of Chinese speaking elders residing in King County. This program encourages seniors to participate in healthy activities, easily access information and community resources, and strengthen social networks and support systems. The program also promotes the understanding of cultural diversity through cross-cultural activities with our collaborative partners in East King County.
We partner with various senior centers to organize an eclectic mix of activities and programs to keep the elderly active and healthy and to maximize their personal potential.
Activities consist of:
- On-site social and educational activities
- Informative workshops
- Creative educational and outreach activities
- Field trips
- Community service opportunities
These activities allow seniors to learn new skills, share their personal experiences, give to the community, and become more productive citizens.
In addition, our knowledgeable staff helps qualified participants apply for various social service benefit programs which include retirement benefits, public assistance, health care, senior housing vouchers and much more.
